// FRIDAY DEVLOG #1 // Writing, 3d modeling and volunteering
heya, numi here!
first of all, let's talk about what FRIDAY DELOGS are going to be. in these weekly text posts i'm going to talk about game development (dah), what i worked on that week, whatever trials and tribulations are bothering, all that juicy stuff. mind you, these are not updates. these are for those who are interested in my work progress, and also for myself :). please be mindful that i'm currently on my last year of highschool and i have countless f*cking mental issues (/j), which may slow down development, so don't expect anything major in these updates.
now, let's get to the ACTUAL devlog
this week i made a lot of progess! i've been meditating a lot on where i want the story to go, so this week has been on of inspiration! i wrote the next bit of the prologue, which may not be released until i finish writing it. please let me know if, regarding dialogue updates, you'd prefer to have big updates, as in a full chapter at a time, or if you'd prefer to have smaller ones, like scenes. i personally don't have any preference, but scenes seem to be more exciting since i can show you what i'm working on! but chapters would make more sense, but updates would be much slower that way. you let me know! the current new bit i wrote is being edited by my wonderful editor, thomas! thank you :)
next up, i can't STAND the current backgrounds! i just suck at it, i must admit it. so, i decided to call my toxic ex to do the job... blender 3d. the son of the devil. the first bgs in game where made 3d... but using blender was a pain in the ass. especially the asset hunting thing. then i moved to just tracing, which is what you can see right now on the images above. they look... flat, boring. so, with new found determination, i decided to finally take on my toxic ex and try to work out issues out. and it's actually going good! assests are a pain in the ass, so i said fuck it, and decided to build my own stuff and... it's servisable? they are not the best, but they shall do for now. i'd really love to get a bg artist, so if you are interested in volunteering, please read below!
now, let's talk about VOLUNTEERS!
UMM:UV is a project based on volunteer work, people in it just for the art. if you are a bg artist, bgm composer, or a gui designer, please join the DISCORD SERVER and submit your application! we'd love to have you with us <3 here's the invite: https://discord.gg/QpUBS9Td
that would be all for this friday! thank you so much for reading <3
kisses, numi
